The Ben Waters Trio is set to perform at the Caroline Street Social Club in Saltaire on 5 March 2027. The event will run from 8pm to 10:30pm and features an acclaimed live show from the award-winning father and son duo Ben and Tom Waters, joined by percussionist James Larter.
About the performers
- Ben Waters is internationally recognised as a leading boogie woogie and rock ’n’ roll pianist. He is known for his energetic performances and collaborations with prominent artists.
- Tom Waters, Ben’s son, is a Royal Academy of Music graduate, saxophonist, and bandleader. His musical style draws from rhythm & blues, jazz, soul, funk, and rock ’n’ roll. Between the ages of 13 and 16, Tom toured internationally with his father, performing over 900 shows across 52 countries.
- James Larter is an award-winning percussionist and multi-instrumentalist, noted for his versatility and long-term collaboration with Tom Waters.
Event highlights
The tour coincides with the relaunch of Ben Waters’ Rolling Stones tribute album, originally recorded in 2010 to honour Ian Stewart, a founding figure in British rhythm & blues. The album featured contributions from Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Ronnie Wood, Bill Wyman, PJ Harvey, and Jools Holland, among others. It has since been reissued on Grinning Dog Records with new recordings involving Keith Richards, George Thorogood & The Destroyers, and Jools Holland.
One of the new tracks, recorded with Keith Richards, is dedicated to the late Charlie Watts, with whom Ben Waters performed extensively as part of The ABC&D of Boogie Woogie.
