About the project

Threads of Belonging was developed with input from children, young people, families and women across the Bradford district. It aimed to create personal and collective expressions of identity through textile art and creative coding. The project was funded by Innovate UK and inspired by the heritage of Dalton Mills, a former textile mill in the area.

The tapestry reflects a collaborative effort to translate individual and shared stories into visual form, highlighting the cultural and historical significance of the local community.
