Local artists invited to join bi-monthly portrait drawing group

The Tuesday Portrait Group in Keighley will be holding its next session on 21 April 2026 at the Airedale Shopping Centre. The group offers an opportunity for both beginners and experienced artists to practice portrait drawing in a supportive environment.

Details of the sessions

  • When: First and third Tuesdays of each month, 1:30pm to 3:30pm
  • Where: Airedale Shopping Centre, Keighley, BD21 3QQ (new premises opposite Boots the Chemist)
  • Cost: Pay as you are able on the day, with a suggested minimum of £10 and up to £15 per session
  • Break: A short break around 2:45pm includes tea and coffee, which is included in the price
  • Age guidance: 16 years and over

What participants need to bring

Artists are required to bring their own drawing materials and paper. Suitable materials for use in the public space include pencils, charcoal, oil pastels, watercolour, acrylic, or gouache paints. Materials that create dust, such as soft pastels, and oil paints are not permitted. Due to space constraints, the use of easels is unlikely to be possible.

The sessions take place in the Airedale Shopping Centre, now located opposite Boots the Chemist in Keighley. The venue is accessible and situated within the town centre.
