Ukrainian Day to Celebrate Culture in Bradford

Bradford will host Ukrainian Day on Saturday 18 April 2026, a free event celebrating Ukrainian culture and heritage. The event will take place from 10:00 to 16:00 at Darley Street Market, located at 16-24 Darley Street, Bradford BD1 3HH.
Programme of Music and Dance
The day will feature a variety of traditional Ukrainian music and dance performances. Among the scheduled acts are the Dibrova Ukrainian Male Voice Choir, local Ukrainian school children, and the Huddersfield Ukrainian Singing Troupe. Ukrainian musicians will also perform pieces on the market’s piano. Dance performances will include both junior and senior groups, as well as traditional ribbon dancing. The event will also include an exhibition of artwork created by injured soldiers from the war in Ukraine. A display of retro Ukrainian football shirts and memorabilia will be available for visitors. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the local Ukrainian community in Bradford, which has a history dating back to the post-World War II era when Ukrainian arrivals came to work in local textile mills.
