Yorkshire Games Festival Returns to Bradford

The Yorkshire Games Festival is set to take place at the National Science and Media Museum in Bradford from 11 to 22 February 2026. Marking its tenth edition, the festival will offer a range of activities centred around games culture, design, and production.
Event Details and Programme
The festival will run daily from 10:00 to 17:00, featuring a variety of events suitable for all ages. The opening days, 11 and 12 February, will focus on industry and careers with Game Talks, which require tickets priced at £25 for general admission and £20 for concessions.
Following the talks, the festival’s half-term programme includes:
- Big Screen Gaming: Visitors can play Nintendo classics such as Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros on a full-sized cinema screen, with multiplayer options for up to four players.
- WiFi Wars (19 February only): A gaming game show hosted by comedian Steve McNeil, where participants play along using their own devices.
- YGF Showcase: An opportunity to try new games developed by creators at various levels and meet the developers behind them, showcasing emerging gaming talent.
Additional Activities
During the half term, Pictureville Cinema will screen films related to the festival, including family-friendly titles such as The Lego Batman Movie (2017) and Pokémon Detective Pikachu (2019). These screenings will be offered at a reduced ticket price of £3.
