Kapow Dance: Mayfly
August 11, 2021Saturday 11 & Saturday 12 September 2021
11.30am & 3pm
Pay What You Decide
A spectacular fusion of water, dance and song to kick off Kala Sangam’s Autumn Season. The stage will come to life with water effects and leaping fountains. Original music and dance will create an immersive atmosphere of togetherness and celebration.
A poetic story expressing the transformative strength of women. Mayfly explores the fleeting, ephemeral nature of life and how our survival is inextricably linked to our environment. The fountains provide numerous metaphors, representing obstacles in our lives, the ever changing landscape in which we all live, that nothing stays the same, that we can stand up, overcome and create change. This unique performance will take place in the car park at the back of Kala Sangam, but please come to the main Kala Sangam reception first. Please dress appropriately and be aware that you may get splashed. |
All our events are Pay What You Decide, which means you don’t have to pay until after you have seen the event. We want to encourage more people to come and see events at Kala Sangam, more often.
Pay What You Decide not only allows you to pay what you can afford, rather than a fixed ticket price, but also removes the financial risk of buying a ticket for an event in advance without knowing whether you are going to enjoy it or not.
Tickets are available to book in advance as usual, but there is no obligation for you to pay until after you have seen the event. You can then decide on a price which you think is suitable based on your experience, which means if you haven’t enjoyed it at all, you don’t have to pay anything.
Please ensure you have arrived and collected your tickets 15 minutes before the event starts in order to secure your seats. At the end of the show, you can decide what to pay, either by cash or card on the door.

If you have ANY coronavirus symptoms, please DO NOT attend.
This event will take place outdoors.
Temperature checks, hand sanitisation and mask wearing will be encouraged where appropriate.
