Bradford Park Avenue to Host Pre-Season Friendly Against Bradford City XI

Local rivals set to contest Tom Banks Memorial Trophy

Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC will host a pre-season friendly against a Bradford City XI at the Horsfall Community Stadium on Tuesday 28 July, with kick-off scheduled for 7.30pm. The match will see both Bradford teams compete for the Tom Banks Memorial Trophy, currently held by Bradford (Park Avenue) following their 3-2 victory over a City XI in July 2025.

Ticketing and Admission

Admission prices for the fixture are as follows:

• Under 18s: £1
• Hospitality (limited availability, includes pie and peas and entry): £10

Supporters are encouraged to pre-purchase tickets via the Fanbase platform to facilitate quicker entry. Tickets can be bought online at Fanbase Ticketing. It is advised that fans download their tickets for scanning at the turnstiles. Pay-on-the-gate options will also be available, accepting both cash and card payments, with turnstiles open at both ends of the stadium.

Merchandise Availability

The club shop will stock the new home and away Bradford (Park Avenue) shirts for the upcoming season. The home shirt features white and green colours, while the away shirt returns to the traditional red, amber, and black. A recent delivery has increased the range of available sizes, though stock is limited.

In addition, Capelli leisurewear including t-shirts, tracksuit bottoms, coats, hats, and accessories will be available for purchase.

Matchday Facilities and Activities

The Clubhouse at the Horsfall Community Stadium will be open throughout the evening, offering refreshments in a family-friendly setting. Seating is available for supporters wishing to relax before and after the match.

The BPA Development Fund will have a presence near the entrance and exit of the stadium, providing information on fundraising efforts aimed at supporting the team throughout the season.

Pre-match activities will take place from 5pm until kick-off, involving both clubs. These include:

• Football matches featuring three Bradford City girls alongside attendees from Player Lab and BPA Juniors
• Mascots representing Bradford City U12s Girls and BPA Juniors across three age groups
