Watsons Building Services create a strong foundation for NHS support
June 22, 2023Staff from a local building company have cemented their support for the NHS by tackling a 15km muddy obstacle course and jumping out of a plane!
Dean Peltier, Managing Director of Watsons Building Services, and Sarah Metcalf, Finance Manager, are both taking part in the 15km mud-fuelled Tough Mudder on 30 July at Broughton Hall to raise money for Bradford Hospitals’ Charity. Sarah will also brave a 10,000ft tandem skydive in Bridlington on 12 August as part of the company’s commitment to support their NHS hospitals.
Watsons Building Services, based in Silsden, is a member of the exclusive Bradford Hospitals’ Charity 100 Club – a group of businesses and organisations who come together to network and collaborate while supporting their NHS hospitals. The company has forged strong links with the community since it was first established in 1920.
Managing Director Dean said: “I am supporting Bradford Hospitals’ Charity because I feel it is an extremely good cause. I’m proud that Watsons Building Services are part of a larger team striving to make a real difference to the lives of those in need and helped by Bradford Hospitals’ Charity. I hope that other local businesses will also see the positive differences made by the charity and support them.”
Sarah said she was looking forward to her skydive, which will see her freefall more than 120mph and cover 5,000ft in approximately 30 seconds.
“I am really looking forward to taking part in Tough Mudder and the skydive to help raise money for Bradford Hospitals’ Charity. As a local business, we are committed to supporting local charities.”
Sharon Milner, Bradford Hospitals’ Charity Director, expressed her gratitude for the invaluable support from the business community, highlighting the significance of networking and collaboration. She said: “We are incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of businesses like Watsons Building Services. By coming together through the 100 Club, all our members are making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families. We are incredibly excited to see our network grow all the time and the direct impact this is having on hospital services and patient experience.”
