Bradford Literature Festival Partners with It’s On In Bradford
October 13, 2025New platform aims to broaden access to city’s cultural events
The Bradford Literature Festival (BLF) has strengthened its collaboration with It’s On In Bradford, a digital platform dedicated to promoting arts and culture across the Bradford district. The partnership, which has been active since 2024, seeks to provide audiences with easier access to a wide range of cultural events, including those featured during the BLF’s annual festival.
About It’s On In Bradford
It’s On In Bradford was launched in 2024 as a central hub for discovering cultural activities in the city. Managed by Out of Place Studio, the platform receives support from Bradford City of Culture 2025, Bradford Metropolitan District Council, The Leap, and Bradford Producing Hub. It offers information on various events such as exhibitions, live music, theatre performances, and craft workshops throughout the Bradford district.
Integration with Bradford Literature Festival
The BLF, recognised as one of the UK’s largest literature festivals, was selected as a flagship event to be featured on the It’s On In Bradford platform. The festival’s events are presented within a dedicated section on the site, accompanied by social media posts that highlight key activities during the festival’s ten-day programme.
Given the scale of the festival, with over 600 events in 2024 and more than 700 planned for 2025, manually uploading each event to an external site would be impractical. To address this, It’s On In Bradford implemented software that automatically transfers event details from the BLF’s own site to their platform. This integration ensures that information remains current and accessible to potential attendees.
Benefits of the Partnership
- The platform showcases BLF events alongside other cultural offerings across Bradford, potentially attracting new audiences who may not have previously engaged with the festival.
- Regular festival attendees can also discover additional arts and culture experiences available in the city throughout the year.
- Social media promotion by It’s On In Bradford helps extend the reach of BLF’s programme beyond its usual audience.

The site makes it easy for audiences to browse our line-up thanks to clear filters and a dedicated landing page, and the added social media promotion extended our online reach even further. It’s On In Bradford has proven itself as a powerful tool for bringing Bradford’s cultural offer together in one place, and we’re excited to see the impact it will continue to have on the city’s arts scene.”
Hannah Lewis, Digital Engagement Officer at It’s On In Bradford, said:
“As a major festival in Bradford and one of the largest literature festivals in the UK, it’s been really important to us to partner with Bradford Literature Festival to showcase their varied programme to our audiences and highlight a brilliant moment in the city’s cultural calendar. We worked with BLF in 2024 and 2025 and were delighted to become an official cultural partner in 2025. We thoroughly enjoyed attending events and sharing coverage on our social media, and we’re excited to see how the partnership continues to grow.”
