Bradford City Welcomes David Sharpe as Head of Football Operations

Sharpe, whose previous role was at Mansfield Town, brings a wealth of experience to the Bantams, having departed from his post at One Call Stadium in July of last year.
At just 32, Sharpe’s ascent in the football world has been notable. He embarked on his executive career at Wigan Athletic, becoming chairman in March 2015 following Dave Whelan’s resignation. His journey continued at Mansfield Town, where he initially served as director of football before ascending to the chief executive position, demonstrating his capability in leading football operations.
In his new role at Bradford City, Sharpe will collaborate with key figures including men’s first-team manager Graham Alexander, head of recruitment Stephen Gent, and head of academy Mark Litherland. This strategic move aims to bolster the club’s football operations, enhancing the team’s performance and future prospects.
Expressing his enthusiasm for joining the Bantams, Sharpe remarked on the appeal of the role and his longstanding admiration for the club. His conversations with club officials and staff have already revealed a shared vision and a strong foundation of talented individuals within the organisation.
