Imagine not being able to understand what other people are saying or being unable to read or write.
Aphasia is a communication disability, resulting from a stroke or brain injury, which can leave you feeling very isolated. But art can be a way to express yourself when you can’t find the words.
Using augmented reality technology to create artworks, Mark Chappell, explains more about what Aphasia is and how it impacts on his daily life. Mark is Bradford born and bred and has been living with Aphasia following a stroke in 2012. His work also includes portraits of prominent Bradfordians to celebrate Bradford being named UK City of Culture 2025.
