Key findings and focus areas
The Voices of Hope Report consolidates insights from the communities served by Hope and Light, outlining key findings and recommendations that have influenced the delivery of mental health support. The report addresses several challenges identified by participants and stakeholders, including:
- Stigma and silence surrounding mental health issues
- Language and communication barriers affecting access to services
- The need for more responsive and tailored mental health support
These findings have informed the design of services to better meet the diverse needs of local communities.
Next steps and community involvement
The report emphasises the importance of implementing its recommendations throughout the district to enhance mental health provision. It also encourages wider community engagement to advocate for change and raise awareness of the issues highlighted.
The Voices of Hope Report is dedicated to the memory of Dr Sasha Bhat, whose vision and commitment to community-led change were instrumental in establishing the Hope and Light programme.
