Play and Attachment Domestic Abuse Worker, Survive and Thrive Service, Bradford

18.5 hours per week

Grade 2 (lower): £10,086.50 – £11,405 per annum (£20,173 – £22,810 FTE)

Temporary Contract for 1 Year (with possible extension)

We have been building stronger families since 1869 and today we work with more than 60,000 families in over 150 community based services, as well as supporting thousands more through national programmes and grants.

Bradford Survive and Thrive is an exciting and innovative multi-agency partnership bringing together 3 organisations , Family Action, Staying Put and Women’s Centre Limited who are working together to develop a ‘one system approach’ to families affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence.

This role is to work with under 5s and their families who have experienced Domestic Abuse and are living in refuge or dispersed accommodation.

Your impact

You will work with families to provide quality play based opportunities which strengthen parent and child relationships impacted by abuse. You will help parents understand the impact of domestic abuse on their children and ensure they are linked in with relevant local universal and targeted provision.

Your skills and experience

If you have experience of play based work with parents and children, understand the impact of domestic abuse on children and families and can work in partnership with other local agencies to deliver support plans, we would like to hear from you.
