The FA Cup Kicks Off Early For Three Bradford Clubs
July 31, 2024Three Bradford football clubs will take to the field this weekend in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round.
The FA Cup brings to mind clashes between giants of the game, as well as heroic efforts from teams lower down the leagues who have to battle through additional stages before they even reach the first round.
It all begins with the Extra Preliminary Round. This stage features teams from Levels 8, 9 and 10 of the English football league system and marks the very first step in a long journey that culminates in the grandeur of the final at Wembley Stadium.
It’s here, at the earliest stage of the competition that we’ll see three Bradford clubs begin that journey.
Starting on Friday the 2nd of August at 8pm, Albion Sports AFC face Trafford FC at the Horsfall Stadium, BD6 2NG. Please note: No admission prices were available at the time of posting this article.
This will be followed on Saturday when Campion take on Parkgate at 3pm at the 1st Glass UK Stadium, BD9 5AT. Entry will cost £6 for adults, £3 for OAPs and is free for under 16s
Hitting the road on Saturday, Eccleshill United will travel to Cheshire as they face Vauxhall Motors at 3pm with entry priced at £10 for Adults, £5 for Concessions (Over 65’s) and £2 for under 16s
With little other domestic football taking place at the same time, the competition is a fantastic opportunity for football fans to get their fix, whilst supporting local sides who don’t always get the media exposure they deserve.
