
£13.2 Million In Social Value Generated By Bradford City FC Community Foundation
March 17, 2025Bradford City A.F.C. and its charitable arm, the Bradford City FC Community Foundation, have delivered an outstanding £13.2 million in social value, reinforcing their significant economic, social, and environmental impact on the local community.
According to the EFL and EFL in the Community’s ‘Measuring the Impact of EFL Clubs in the Community’ report, the Foundation has contributed over 58,000 hours of social support delivery—an effort five times the national average. Additionally, participation in Foundation-led projects during 2023/24 reached 23,600 people, surpassing the national average by an astonishing 10,000 participants.
The report underscores not just the financial impact of the Foundation’s work but also its reach and influence between 2022 and 2024.
Breakdown of Social Value Contributions
The £13.2 million in social value has been categorised into four key pillars:
- £6.8 million – Mental Health Support
- Partnerships with local mental health organisations, including Mind Bradford and Andy’s Man Club, providing vital support services.
- £4 million – Community and Social Outcomes
- Social intervention projects in schools and across the wider community, including the Positive Activities Map initiative.
- £1.4 million – Education, Training, and Employment
- Delivery of programmes such as the Football and Education Programme, helping young people gain qualifications and career opportunities.
- £915,000 – Physical Health Contributions
- Initiatives like the Walking Football team and regular football camps, promoting health and wellbeing through sport.

Reflecting on the report’s findings, Foundation CEO Ian Ormondroyd shared his pride in the achievements:
