Club Matters Workshop

Club Matters Local have organised four online workshop for CLUBS on evenings. You do not need to be part of Club Matters Local with a YSF Mentor to attend. These are FREE online workshops. Club Matters workshops are short training sessions, funded by Sport England and delivered across the country by Club Matters facilitators in a range of specific topics. These sessions are for clubs to develop your skills, improve your knowledge and support your club. The deadline to book is 7 days before each workshop.

Leadership Teams

  • This workshop reviews the key principles of an excellent club structure, identifies methods on how to achieve an excellent leadership team and develop an action plan to improve their clubs leadership. As with all Club Matters workshops this is a good starting point for clubs thinking about their development.

  • This workshop helps you understand the important of club structures, identify the different types of legal structures for clubs and identify the right one for your club. It also provides top tips on how to effectively govern, where to find further help and advice and understand next steps through action planning

,Engaging Communities

  • The workshop helps you understand the principles of community engagement and the benefits for both the club and community. Explore how the club can meet the needs of the local community and identify actions to improve community engagement and increase participation.

,Financial Sustainability

  • This workshops helps clubs understand the principles of good financial management to aid financial sustainability. It looks at different income generation models for clubs and established SMART financial objectives linked to what your club wants to achieve.
