Local community group, the West End Centre is celebrating after being awarded £313,000 in National Lottery funding to support its work with people across the community. The group, based in Little Horton runs a range of groups and activities that respond to the wants and needs of the community and welcomes people from across Bradford.
The West End Centre has been running since 2005 and has evolved with the help of its clients. Lots of people started off attending the centre and then go on to volunteer, helping others and getting involved in the everyday running and future development of projects.
Although the West End Centre's building is closed due to the Covid-19 restrictions, staff and volunteers work together to offer support to each other and members of the community. They look forward to a time when they can welcome new friends in person. Until then if anyone would like to join in any of their activities, please call 07743 687053 or 07592 003595.
The new funding from the National Lottery Community Fund will help to deliver existing groups and plan new groups too.
