Free Kids’ Club Screening of Savages at Pictureville Cinema

Pictureville Cinema in Bradford will host a free screening of the French animated film Savages on 8 August 2026 as part of its Kids’ Club programme. The event is organised in collaboration with Bradford & District Friends of the Earth, a local volunteer group focused on climate justice and nature recovery.

The screening will feature Savages, a French animation set in Borneo. The story follows Kéria, who is given a baby orangutan named Oshi. Together with Selaï, they face challenges as the tropical forest around them is increasingly threatened. The film aims to raise awareness about environmental issues affecting wildlife and forests.
Additional activities
After the film, attendees of all ages can participate in crafts and face painting. This part of the event runs from 12:30 to 14:00 and is designed to provide a creative and engaging experience for families.
Kids’ Club environment
The Kids’ Club screenings at Pictureville Cinema are designed to be relaxed and welcoming for children who benefit from a quieter environment. During the screening:

- Sound levels will be reduced
- Children are allowed to move around, make noise, or take breaks as needed
