Bradford University Celebrates Summer Graduations 2026

Over 1,700 students graduate with strong regional ties

This summer, Bradford University held its graduation ceremonies, marking the achievement of more than 1,700 students who have completed their studies. The university highlighted the strong connection many graduates maintain with the Yorkshire and Humber region, where a significant proportion are expected to find employment.

Graduate employment and regional impact

Recent statistics indicate that approximately 75% of graduates who secure work do so within the Yorkshire and Humber area. This represents the highest local employment rate among universities in West Yorkshire. The university also noted that nearly 80% of its undergraduate students come from this region, with 65% originating from socially and economically deprived areas. This demographic focus has contributed to Bradford University being ranked first on the Social Mobility Index for five consecutive years.

Recognition of honorary graduates

In addition to the graduating students, the university honoured several distinguished individuals with honorary degrees. These recipients have been recognised for their contributions in various fields and areas of interest. The honorary graduates for 2026 are:
