Bradford City of Culture 2025 is set to deliver more than 1,000 new performances and events including 365 artist commissions, a series of major arts festivals and major national and international collaborations. We’re now seeking a Head of Engagement and Head of Evaluation to join our team.

Head of Engagement

We’re looking for a Head of Engagement to lead and oversee the strategic development and delivery of the Engagement and Creative Learning Programme – To lead and oversee key projects and programmes in collaboration with the relevant teams, to reach our ambition for engagement in cultural activities across the district with a specific focus on lesser engaged communities and groups.

The successful candidate will support the Creative Team and the wider staff team to ensure that engagement, participation and impact are considered across all our work and that innovative ideas and practice are at the heart of the Engagement and Creative Learning programme. Responsibilities and the role will evolve during the development of the programme.

  • Hours: 37 hours a week. These can be worked flexibly, but the role is largely office-based.
    Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum.
    Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays
    Pension contribution: 5%

Head of Evaluation

We’re looking for a Head of Evaluation to ensure that the monitoring and evaluation of the Bradford City of Culture 2025 programme is transparent, inclusive and robust, and able to assess the impact of culture-led change.

They will lead and commission research and evaluation to demonstrate how the City of Culture 2025 programme and activities impact on the district and its residents with regards to cultural, social, economic, health and wellbeing impacts.

The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues at the University of Bradford, the Bradford Institute for Health Research, Bradford Council, the local cultural sector and other partners to oversee the collection of data, to ensure data is recorded and analysed to ensure successful regular reporting of progress against impacts and outcomes.

  • Hours: 37.5 hours a week. These can be worked flexibly, but the role is largely office-based.
    Salary: £55,000 per annum.
    Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays
    Pension contribution: 5%
